Blazing Tats

This tutorial was created using PSPX3, but should work in most other versions. A working knowledge of psp is assumed.

Needed Supplies
Tube of choice.
I am using the awesome art of  Robert Alvarado which I purchased from PTE.
You will also need mask, and font
You can get my mask here.

Filters for animation only
Alien Skin Xenofex 2Note: This tutorial is written for the supplies I used. If you are using something different you will need to make adjustments.

Create a new image 600x600 with a transparent background.
Pick a background & foreground from your image.
I used #c44b57 for foreground and #000000 for background.

Now change your foreground to gradient.
Foreground/background angle=0 repeat=0 rectangular
Flood fill layer with gradient.

Now apply my mask to the gradient layer
Layers - merge group

Now copy the tube place on far left
Duplicate the tube layer
Now mirror this duplicated layer
Layers - merge down
Apply the mask to the merged tube layer.
Layers - merge group

Change the opacity of this new masked tube layer to 50%
Go to the first masked layer to add this drop shadow
v-1 h-1 opacity-100 blur-5 color black
Now go to top layer
Get your tube again
Copy
Go to image we are working with
Paste as new layer
Place tube where you please I placed mine in the center
Drop shadow
v-0 h-5 opacity-100 blur-5 color-black
Now add your watermark, tube info, and license # if needed

Now comes adding your name
I always due my font as floating so I can promote it to layer and play with it

The font I used is blazed
The color I used is the same gradient as earlier in the tutorial.

I used inner bevel
Bevel #2 width 10 smoothness 50 depth 25 ambience -25
Shininess 25 color white angle 132 intensity 49 elevation 90

Drop shadow
v-0 h-5 opacity-100 blur-5 color-black

Now comes to the animation part.
If you don’t want to add animation then stop here and save your tag.

Duplicate the masked layer 3 times so you have a total of four layers that look the same

Now time to do the filter which we will be using alien skin xenofex 2
Use the settings in the image below and when you change layers just change the random seed.

create new layer and flood fill with white
move this layer all the way to bottom

Now hide the four mask layers.

you are only going to use three of these hidden layers.
you can delete the mask layer that you didn't apply the filter to.

your layers palette should look like this.
unhide the top mask layer
you can copy two ways the easiest for me is ctrl+shift+c
or go to edit - copy - copy special - copy merged
now go to animation shop and paste as new animation

go back to paint shop pro hide the top mask layer and unhide the second mask layer
ctrl+shift+c
or go to edit - copy - copy special - copy merged
now go to animation shop and paste after current frame or ctrl+shift+L

go back to paint shop pro hide the second mask layer and unhide the third mask layer
ctrl+shift+c
or go to edit - copy - copy special - copy merged
now go to animation shop and paste after current frame or ctrl+shift+L

your done now just save your image

please feel free to post feed back on this tut.
I would love to hear what you think.
